CareRing

Posted in Caring & Health Updated

St. Andrew places a high premium on authentic relationships, but we also know how easy it is to become distracted from being intentional about our personal connections. Jesus modeled building authentic community with those around him, and our CareRing Ministry is one way that we try to live out that calling.

This ministry is staffed by caring volunteers who reach out through a phone call to those in our congregation who need a little extra support. These folks may not be prevented from coming to church but may need comfort and connection between Sundays. They may be dealing with situations like caregiver fatigue, anxious waiting on medical test results, social isolation, chronic illness, or severe emotional distress.

How It Works

Members from the CareRing Team make calls on a periodic basis to those who come to our attention due to situations that suggest some extra caring is called for. They offer the friendly support of a sympathetic heart and a listening ear.
