Ten Good Reasons
There are a lot of good reasons for carrying around a ten-dollar bill around in your wallet or purse: at least ten good reasons to set apart or consecrate that money-not for yourself-but for the needs of others if and when you come across it.
If you move through your day knowing that you've put aside some cold, hard cash to cover the need of someone God may put in your life that day—then there's a good chance you will begin to shift your focus from your wants and needs to the needs of others. Focusing on the needs of others-and the desires of God-is exactly the attitude that Jesus of Nazareth came to instill in God's people.

If you are part of the experiment we are currently running at St. Andrew or whether you like the idea of pursuing this challenge on your own, you are encouraged to share with us what you did with your consecrated cash. Please don't include names or specifics that might embarrass someone else. And feel free to come into the church office to use the tengoodreasons.org stamp for any additional ten-dollar bills you set aside for this good purpose.
We will post the results on this web page as they come in. We hope that your creativity and God's opportunity will give us all lots of ideas on how to be a caring, generous people.
