Combined worship this Sunday, April 21 at 10:00 a.m. with meal to follow.

Children’s Ministries at St. Andrew welcomes any and all kids in preschool through fifth grade. We are a welcoming and inclusive space that allows for fellowship and spiritual development for families from all backgrounds. We strive to be a space where kids can grow in their faith, learn about God, and be in community. Our goal is to create a space where kids can create and strengthen their relationship with Christ while also learning how they can see God at work in the world. We hope that our space can be a safe place to ask the hard questions, feel seen, and be loved.

We invite new families to join us on a Sunday during Kids Growth Group (9:30), Kids Connection (10:30) or to attend a Children's/Family Ministry event. If you join us for a Sunday morning, please be sure to stop by the Welcome Desk for a gift and to drop off your information so we can reach out to you and say hello!

What to Expect

When attending on a Sunday, everyone is invited to attend worship together. Art tables are available for kids in our worship space with a variety of supplies for creating while they are listening. Children from birth through age three are welcome in the nursery during both services. At 9:30 am, Kids' Growth Groups (KGGs) are available for those in preschool through fifth grade. During the school year, Kids' Connection meets at 10:30 am for preschool through third grade, with the kids leaving partway through the service.

What We Do

Throughout the year our programming is focused on building community, growing spiritually, and having fun! Our ministry is parts of the larger Family Ministry at St. Andrew. We understand that life is busy, and we hope that our events can be a place to slow down, fellowship with one another, and create community.

Some events that we host throughout the year to look for are VBS (Vacation Bible School), Back to School Picnic, Midweek Connection (Kids' Path), Impact 2818 (Camp), Game Nights, and more!

About

At St. Andrew, we utilize Orange Curriculum in our Preschool-1st and 4th & 5th grade classes. Our 2nd & 3rd graders utilize David C. Cook Curriculum. Orange Curriculum strives to align church and family. Orange combines child development and theology to create a comprehensive children's ministry curriculum geared towards building stronger relationships, and developing a deeper faith. David C. Cook Curriculum strives to walk through scripture teaching lessons on leadership, discipleship, and showing how to connect everyday situations to God’s Word. Our goal is for St. Andrew Kids Ministry is to receive accurate and intentional lessons on faith that are rooted in scripture and align with St. Andrew's beliefs and core values.

For more information about Orange Curriculum and David C. Cook Curriculum check out their websites.

On Sunday mornings, Kids' Growth Groups are available at 9:30 am and our Kids Connection time is available at 10:30am. Kids (ages three through fifth grade) attending Kids' Connection will be released during the service. Kids' Growth Group is for any kids from preschool through fifth grade in the Kids' Area. Instead of a traditional “Sunday School” experience, we focus on creating a space to learn in a fun and interactive environment. During this time we will be learning about different Bible stories while doing art projects, playing games, creating skits, and having a whole lot of fun!

We provide childcare during all services for infants through age three in a warm, caring environment. The nursery is located near the sanctuary, and someone at the Welcome Desk would be happy to direct you. All nursery staff members are hired by the church and have had a background check, training, and abide by church policies and guidelines.

Kids of all ages are always welcome to stay in the Great Room with their families. Art tables are available in the Great Room where kids can create during worship. Nursery care is available for ages 0-3, Growth Groups are available for preschool through high school at 9:30 am, and those in preschool through fifth grade are dismissed to Kids' Connection during the 10:30 am service.
