Book Fair This Weekend

Written by Barb Jones on . Posted in General Announcements

Our 10th Annual Book Fair will have a Friday preview from 5-8 this week.
It will be open 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. this Saturday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday!

Stop by the Intersection on Saturday for a less crowded and more relaxed Book Fair experience.
Bring your children, friends and neighbors!

Also, bring your wallet or checkbook because the Book Fair is a fund raiser. We are counting on your generous support! This year we are raising money for the Redbird Mission and Tippecanoe County United Food Pantry.
Park near the playground and enter through the doors closest to the Intersection.

Estate Planning is a Gift to Your Loved Ones!…

Written by Chris Danielson on . Posted in General Announcements

As a pastor I have walked with families and spouses through many painful decisions prompted by the sudden illness or death of their loved one.

Grieving or already distressed loved ones are left with trying to figure out what their parent or spouse would want. Or, they realize that it is too late to make certain decisions that they know would honor the wishes of their loved one.

The road through many other tough times could have been made much easier by planning well-ahead for realities that face each person: retirement, health concerns due to aging, and our eventual passing.

Men's Fellowship Group

Written by Donna Biehl on . Posted in General Announcements

Dear St. Andrew Men (SAM),

It's a challenge to be a faithful Christian man in our "anything goes" American culture. We'd like to form a men's group at St. Andrew that can help us all meet that challenge. Together, we can tackle tough questions like "What kind of disciples do we want to be? How can we get there?"

Please consider joining us for food, fun, and fellowship on Friday, October 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  We will be seeking your input on future men's gatherings, activities, service projects, and more.  We want you to give us feedback.  We want you to help us create a sustainable, meaningful men's fellowship with Jesus and with each other.  I (Scott) felt this scripture come alive as I read it for disciples class.

"If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.  But if we walk in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his son, purifies us from all sin." (I John 1:6-7 ).

No pressure for this group—just come as you are and share your thoughts.  Share in a safe environment and care for one another.  We have ideas we would like to share with everyone.  Please come eat (meat on a stick), drink (soda, tea), and be merry (but not too merry or we'll get in trouble with our neighbors...).  please email me.  I am trying to purchase meat and only have 8 people confirmed.  Please send confirmation email by Friday at noon.  If you do not send an email please join us anyway.  We will have plenty of food.  Meet for meat at the fire pit in the northwest corner of the church property.
