2016 Lenten Season at St. Andrew Church
Thanks to all of you who celebrated Lent and Easter with us at St. Andrew Church, and we hope you were inspired and renewed at our Easter services. We'd love to have you back. We are open every Sunday of the year!
St. Andrew is looking for someone to lead their exceptional ministry with children. The Director of Children’s Ministries supervises all paid and volunteer Children’s Ministry staff and oversees the vision-setting and day-to-day running of all programming associated with Children’s Ministry (nursery age through 5th grades) at St. Andrew United Methodist Church.
The right candidate for this position will be one who possesses an authentic relationship to God through Jesus Christ and lives out his/her faith and Christian values in obvious, consistent and transparent ways. They will have an obvious love and temperament compatible with working with children and families. They will possess solid time management skills, great organizational and leadership skills and a desire to strive for excellence in this ministry. The Director of Children’s Ministries will demonstrate an ability to work successfully with individuals and teams and help them build and work towards solid goals in a ministry that involves dozens of paid and volunteer staff and events that involve potentially hundreds of children.
Ben Waltz, our Chancel Choir Director, has stepped down to be able to put more energy and emphasis into his high school music position. We wish Ben the very best of luck and look forward to seeing and hearing his fabulous West Side High School choirs in the future!
The Staff/Parish Committee will begin the process of selecting a new Chancel Choir Director in the near future and will be accepting applications immediately.
