Made with Love Meals

At St. Andrew, we know that Jesus fed both the souls and the stomachs of those he encountered throughout his ministry, and we aspire to do the same. Our meal ministry reaches out to people both within and occasionally beyond our congregation to provide the support of a delicious homemade meal that is delivered to the doorstep.

Volunteers in the Made With Love Meal Ministry prepare and deliver meals to folks who could use a break from their own daily meal preparation. We send meals for situations such as extended illness, following surgery or hospitalization, an addition to the family, the loss of a loved one, or some other tough situation. Sometimes we send "Just Because" meals to simply remind someone that their church family loves them! We also send care packages to those who may live in a nursing home and already have regular meals provided for them.

      How It Works

We offer two or three meals each week and also stock a supply of freezer meals for more urgent needs. Our coordinators contact the recipients by phone to offer the meal and gather any dietary information. The meal volunteers then make and deliver the food to the family or individual. We have many amazing cooks in our community of faith who generously share their talents!

If you know of an individual or a family in our congregation who you think could use a dose of “extra love” through receiving a meal from “Made with Love”, please contact the church office.
