HeartSavers

Posted in Caring & Health Updated

We place a premium on the experience of worship at St. Andrew and know that it is our time to connect with God and each other. The HeartSavers ministry allows our pastors and congregation to devote their full attention to this holy time by providing emergency medical coverage during each of our three Sunday morning worship services.

Volunteers in this ministry are trained and certified in adult and pediatric CPR and AED (automated external defibrillator) and have an AED device available at the church. HeartSavers volunteers sit in reserved seats in the last row of our worship space and generally serve as primary responder during two-three months of the year.

Training generally takes place twice a year (spring/summer and fall) and takes place at St. Andrew, usually on a Sunday afternoon with a box lunch provided. Upcoming training is publicized through the church newsletter, calendar, and web page.
