Dear friends of St. Andrew Church,

I am excited to extend an invitation to you to join me on an enriching journey in the month of February. Please consider joining me for a book study sponsored by the Indiana Conference Diversity, Missions, and Justice Team beginning Tuesday, February 6. The book we will read, study, and discuss together is Our Hearts Were Strangely Lukewarm by John Elford. This book study being offered by the Conference fits perfectly into our recently developed vision of being a welcoming community for all people. This is a study that will also help prepare a foundation for some of the upcoming plans we are developing for the spring of 2024.

I believe this book study will be not just an intellectual pursuit, but an opportunity to explore some of the difficult narrative of the United Methodist Church’s history relating to racism. Our history is a complicated story that is important for us to explore so we may help form a different and better future for all people. I believe your presence and participation will add depth to the discussion while creating space for us as a faith community to explore and discover together “where we go from here.” Using the button below you can sign up for the February Book Study and purchase a copy of the book at a discounted rate. I look forward to engaging with you in this month-long exploration.

Warm regards,
Pastor Brian
