We are excited to be one of 17 churches contributing to the Habitat for Humanity Apostle Build for Saul and his daughter Katie! We have had the opportunity to volunteer our time and resources to help Saul realize his dream of owning a home as he rebuilds from a devastating fire.

The Habitat Apostle Build House has been completed and the house blessing is scheduled for Tuesday, July 1 at 5:30 pm. The house is located at 615 Wabash Avenue in Lafayette with parking across the street at St. Ann’s Catholic Church (612 Wabash Ave.). All are welcome and encouraged to attend this exciting and heartwarming event. Our own Barb Jones will be delivering the blessing.

Thanks to your generosity, we have met our $5,000 commitment for the Apostle Build to Habitat for Humanity! Several of you have also asked about a housewarming gift. To show our love and support, and to make their new home more welcoming, we are collecting monetary donations to purchase towels, shower curtain & rod, and other necessities for the bathrooms and a few canvases to encourage Katie’s artistic talents. Any remaining funds will go toward additional items found on the list provided by Habitat. Gifts from all participating churches will be presented to the family at the house blessing.
