In-Person Worship Will Resume on May 9
April 26, 2021
The Operational Management Team (OMT) met last evening to discuss the reopening of our church to in-person worship. St. Andrew will officially open on May 9 to a limit of 90 people per service so that we can insure social distancing and everyone’s safety.
Attendees will be asked to wear masks, remain physically distanced outside of family groups, refrain from hugging and shaking hands (that will be a tough one for a lot of us who just want to greet our friends again!), and rsvp using a link provided on our website starting on Sunday afternoon and in next Tuesday’s Staying Connected.
In order that we may train ushers, greeters, and Welcome Desk helpers, we will do a limited in-person worship on May 2 to get individuals up to speed on precautions, seating, and updated protocols. An email will be sent directly to those involved with more details.
We will continue to hold two worship services:
May 2 – ONLINE ONLY (except for training of ushers, greeters, and Welcome Desk helpers)
- Traditional service will meet at 8:30 a.m.
- Contemporary service will meet at 11 a.m.
May 9 – IN- PERSON AND ONLINE (Please note the time change for the contemporary service)
- Traditional service will continue to meet at 8:30 a.m.
- Contemporary service will meet at 10 a.m.
For the time being, Coffee Talk will be put on hold. Adult Sunday classes will continue to meet via Zoom until their groups have decided otherwise. Children and youth classes will be under the coordination of our Director of Family Ministries who will be providing up-to-date information soon.
