Love Socks
February 9, 2022
Pastor Chris shared in his sermon on February 6 that the sermon series for the month would be based on LOVE. What better time then to put your love to work to make socks for either folks at LTHC Homeless Services or to contribute to what St. Andrew offers the families who come for Jubilee Christmas.
Beginning February 21, on Monday and/or Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:30 and/or Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m., gather in Adult Classroom 3 with others to learn to loom knit socks. COVID protocols are in place: wear a mask and no food nor drinks. If you stick with it, you will be asked to donate one pair you make to either LTHC or Jubilee. From there on, it’s up to you—make them for family members or continue to donate them.
You will need to bring a 24-peg loom, a loom hook, and 2 different color skeins of regular, worsted weight OR bulky yarn. If you would like to try it out before purchasing a loom or loom set, a few are available on a trial basis until you are certain you wish to invest.
