St. Andrew continues to have a negative operating balance; however, we are encouraged that our deficit has improved slightly since the end of March and we hope this trend will continue. Your faithful support over the past several years has allowed us to develop a reserve, so we won’t need to borrow money to cover this expense. Endowments
This past year (7/1/2021 to 6/30/2022) is the first year for funds to be used from the Schall Family and General St. Andrew Endowments based on the policy developed by the team that was so ably led by Bob Sorensen. Funds from the endowments were used for support of the recently presented scholarship, Dephine Iradukunda in pursuit of her studies at Garrett Seminary, and toward recovering our Great Room chairs. The funds were distributed based on the guidelines developed for the endowments. Funds from the Alvey Family Endowment will be available for this year beginning July 1 in addition to new funds from the other two endowments.
