Partners In Hope (PIH) Update March 2022

March 31, 2022

Hebrews 12:1 says to “Let us throw off everything that hinders…and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. The pandemic may have hindered us from stepping into many portions of our ministries. It certainly forced our race course to follow a detour, but Covid was not able to tighten its grip on us at Partners in Hope (PIH) completely. PIH was able to continue to run our race and support our local probation office, even during Covid. PIH stayed on track delivering 24 incentive bags per year (see examples in pictures) for probationers who have successfully run their race on the course laid out before them. We also provided a probation staff appreciation cookie drop off, $1,500 worth of drug screens, and bus tokens that have been carried over from before the pandemic. We are still here and continue to do work. We are actively pursuing a relationship with the Sheriff’s Department and have plans to start back into our previous ministries like Circles of Support and Accountability (COSA). We will be meeting this Sunday, April 3, at 12:30 p.m. in the picnic shelter, with the Intersection as a weather backup, to talk about COSA. So, if you are interested, please join us or stop by our table at the Missions Fair. We’ll be better with you!
