Monday Morning Yarns
Every Monday, 9:30am - 11:30am
Room: Commons
Monday Morning Yarns is a ministry whose purpose is to bring comfort to folks in and around Lafayette, West Lafayette Some volunteers also work with plarn (plastic yarn) to make sleeping mats for the unhoused of Lafayette by either crocheting or weaving with it. Others make shawls for the Indiana Donor Network. Representatives from the Network’s Threads of Compassion program deliver a shawl to family members who have lost a loved one who was an organ or tissue donor. Or, perhaps you have a loved one for whom you'd like to give an afghan to a special person who is very ill. We are here for you!
Volunteers represent an ecumenical gathering, with members from St. Andrew and neighboring churches. However, not being a member of a faith group does not exclude you from Monday Morning Yarns. Our group meets Monday mornings from 9:30-11:30 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, located in West Lafayette. We'd LOVE to have more friends from St. Andrew join us on Monday mornings!
