Walk in Solidarity
Every Saturday, from 06/06/2026 to 06/20/2026, 10am - 11am
Leader: Monica Marmolejos
Room: Picnic Shelter
"In June 2026, we’re inviting this community to Walk in Solidarity with people who are displaced, detained, and deported—neighbors near and far navigating journeys no one should have to take alone.
In honor of World Refugee Day on June 21, we come together to collectively honor the strength, resilience, and dignity of those forced to leave home, those held behind walls, and those separated from the lives they’ve worked so hard to build.
Together we walk a mile every day in June, remembering that the journey to safety is often made on foot. When the world feels hopeless, there is still something we can do - walk, pray, learn, and take the next step."
As you walk, please consider listening to a podcast or book on immigration, such as The Truth About Immigration by Zeke Hernandez or The Ungrateful Refugee by Dina Nayeri, to further educate yourself about the life of a refugee/immigrant.
Please join the St. Andrew Missions and Social Justice Immigration Team in walking in solidarity. We will walk together Saturday mornings the first three weeks in June at 10am in the church parking lot. Meet by the picnic shelter. (June 27 you are invited to walk on your own or join the Trustees Summer Work Day from 9 am to noon.)
