The children's ministry at St. Andrew provides meaningful and interactive opportunities for birth through elementary school.
We utilize developmentally appropriate curriculum and resources that are inclusive and celebrate our connection with each other and to God. You can learn more about Orange curriculum in Family Ministry Resources.
We seek to build community through Sunday morning classes, family-focused events, and seasonal offerings such as Vacation Bible School. This summer is providing us with new opportunities and we embraced that with a Family VBS for kids in preschool through fourth grade and their adults on the lawn at St. Andrew!

What to Expect
When attending on a Sunday, everyone is invited to attend worship together. You are welcome to get an art box from the welcome center and sit at one of the family tables on either side of our worship space. Children from birth through age three are welcome in the nursery during both services. A Kids' Growth Group (KGG) meet at 8:30 for preschool through first grade, with the kids leaving partway through the service. At 10:00, KGGs are available for those in preschool through 5th grade. (The 10:00 groups are taking a summer break until August 8.) Take a look at the Family Ministries page to check out all the details about how we are meeting as safely as possible during COVID-19. At this time, we ask that if your child has any known symptoms or possible exposure to COVID-19, please stay home for everyone's safety.
If your family is not yet ready to return, we understand! To engage with the Kids' Growth Group material from home, check out the resources link below.
To Learn More
As we shift from providing outdoor supervised childcare to only indoor services, the nursery will not be available at this time.
Outside of the current pandemic environment, we provide childcare during all services for infants through age three. The nursery is located near the sanctuary. Pagers are available for parents for quick communication as needed.
All nursery staff members are hired by the church and have had a background check, training, and abide by church policies and guidelines.
To learn when the nursery will be fully opened again as well as other current offerings, please sign up for the Family Ministry Newsletter.
Per our church policy and CDC guidelines, everyone age three and over are required to wear masks during in-person events.
Kids of all ages are always welcome to stay in the Great Room with their families. During this time of COVID-19 and social distancing, a family table may be reserved with a box of craft items and books for the kids.
