The church is currently offering two $500 scholarships for the 2023 – 2024 academic year. The scholarships will be awarded to individuals who are active participants at St. Andrew United Methodist Church. The scholarship is open to individuals who will be enrolled in any educational program beyond high school, including trade schools, colleges, certificate programs and other postsecondary programs. The scholarship funds must go toward tuition and fees paid to enroll at an educational institution, and any fees, books supplies, and equipment required for classes. (Room and board is not included.) A recipient can only receive the scholarship one time. Scholarship applications must be submitted by April 30, 2023 to be considered.
These scholarships were initially funded by Dr. Loraine Edwards. Dr. Edwards was an active, long-time member of St. Andrew. More recently, other donors have contributed funds to help continue Dr. Edwards’ vision to support individuals pursuing postsecondary educational programs.
