Welcome to St. Andrew!

It is such an honor for us that you have taken time to explore St. Andrew United Methodist Church!

St. Andrew is a welcoming community, equipping generations to share God’s love.

This is a faith community with much activity. We are devoted to worship with multiple services in-person and online. We are intentional in nurturing our love for Jesus through a variety of spiritual formation opportunities and community outreach. We are dedicated to preparing all generations for community influence.

  Our Story

As we enter the season of Lent this year, we invite you to consider how you might embrace it and all that it holds for you this year.

We will have opportunities to worship together in-person and online on Sundays at 8:30 am for a service with traditional music and 10:30 am for a service with contemporary music.

We will observe the beginning of the season with a service that includes the imposition of ashes on Ash Wednesday.

The experiences of Palm Sunday on April 13 and Easter on April 20 are not complete without Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, and we encourage you to make time in your schedule to attend those services as well.

Consider joining a Lenten Study on Sunday morning or during the week with the Know and Grow Class or Pastor Wellington. These studies begin the week of March 9.

A rich devotional full of scripture, artwork, commentary, poetry, coloring, and reflections is available at the Welcome Desk in the Commons in regular and large print or as easy to use devotional cards for families. The e-book version is available by emailing  in the office to request the link.

The Parent Cue

Our curriculum partner, Orange, provides a lot of resources for families through Parent Cue. On the website you will find articles on topics like anxiety, faith, sexual integrity, divorce, ages and stages, and more. The Parent Cue App cues you to have simple and meaningful faith moments with your kids that fit seamlessly into the daily rhythm of your life and they align with their lesson for the week!

Sunday at Home

Sometimes going to church just isn’t practical or possible. Each Sunday Orange uploads videos to their YouTube channel so you can have a 20-30 minute meaningful family experience custom-designed to the age of your kids. Devotions and activities are available on the Parent Cue website.

St. Andrew members will have the opportunity to volunteer at one of three locations: 1) Food Finders Food Bank; 2) Habitat for Humanity; 3) Trinity Life Ministry Lost then Found Thrift Store. After a morning of service, volunteers will gather at Happy Hollow Park for a light lunch and time of reflection. If Saturday won’t work for you, Sunday, September 22 is the Hunger Hike and you can walk with the St. Andrew group at that event. More detail on how to sign-up is outlined below. We hope to see you on Saturday September 21 and/or Sunday September 22 as we give back to our community!

We would like everyone who serves on Sept. 21 or 22 to consider purchasing St. Andrew merch to wear! We know everyone has preferences about what they might like and not everyone is a fan of t-shirts, so we are working with a vendor to provide an online store where you can choose and purchase a variety of items (including kids' sizes!). Mark "pick up at Freckles" when you order and we will pick it up for you and bring it to church. Items ordered through September 9 will be ready for pickup at St. Andrew on Sunday, Sept. 18. Any orders placed now may be picked up at St. Andrew on October 6.

( )   -

Address*

,

Must be a Tippecanoe county resident.

We handle assistance requests on Tuesday mornings. We REQUIRE all clients to go to Lafayette Urban Ministry (LUM) before requesting assistance from us. We will verify that you have requested assistance from LUM. If they have helped you, please indicate the amount they helped you with. Our limit for assistance per family is $100 per service year (for example, if we helped you in April, we can't help again until the following April). Please submit your current original lease for rental assistance (no subleases) or utility invoice. This will make the process much faster.

Please list any assistance you have already received and the amount. If you have reached your limit at LUM, please indicate that here and the date you reached that limit.

Please be as specific as possible with your need(s).

Upload a copy of your utility bill (photo) or PDF. Upload a copy of your lease (PDF).

If we can provide assistance with your spiritual needs, we would like to do so. Please select any of these that apply to you.

Because of the large number of requests we have recently received, we need to pause accepting new applications for financial assistance at this time.

If you have already submitted an application, we will continue processing it and will contact you directly if we need any additional information.

Other community resources may be able to help:

  • Salvation Army: 765-742-0006
  • LUM: 765-423-2691
  • Township Trustees:
    • Fairfield (Lafayette): 765-742-7476
